SOAD will be hosting artist Frankie Flood on Wednesday, October 11, and Thursday October 12 for a number of lectures and demonstrations. All are open to any interested students.
Frankie Flood is an Associate Professor of Art at Appalachian State University, and the former Director of the Digital Craft Research Lab at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. His work is exhibited and published widely, and he has received over $135,000.00 in grants from The National Endowment of the Arts, The University of Wisconsin, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, and the Peter S, Reed Foundation. He is internationally recognized for his work in 3D printed prosthetics for children. His work is currently on display at the Jack Olson Gallery in the School of Art and Design.
