Macbeth

The Northern Illinois University School of Theatre and Dance presents William Shakespare’s Macbeth, opening Friday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the O’Connell Theatre, located in NIU’s Stevens Building.

The production is directed by Peter G. Anderson, a graduate of Carnegie Mellon’s M.F.A. directing program and of Emerson College where he earned his B.F.A. in acting. Andersen has directed shows and worked at Chicago Shakespeare, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Writers Theatre and American Players Theatre among others.

Performances will be held October 18, 19, 24 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinees on October 21 and 26. Tickets are available online at go.niu.edu/arts-tickets with prices for adults, seniors, staff and students. NIU students are admitted free of charge with a reserved ticket.

The performance Saturday, October 19 will feature a moderated talkback with cast, crew and the director after the show.
