NIU Percussion Ensemble is excited to present “Huskie Sound Garden” – a sound bath installment piece in the style of Brian Eno – as part of NIU’s Homecoming Festivities on October 15 at 4 p.m. in Martin Luther King Jr. Commons, between Founders Memorial Library and Holmes Student Center on NIU’s campus.
Instruments performed will include gongs, windchimes, rain sticks, finger cymbals, handbells and more accompanied by a hypnotically lush, digital soundscape accompanying performers.
Please feel free to bring a chair, a blanket, a yoga mat, a book, or a friend.
Audience members are also welcome to join performers in this interactive cascade of sounds.
