Sinclair Bell, PhD, professor of art history in the NIU School of Art and Design, was one of 18 international consulting scholars invited to write an essay in the Yale University Press published exhibition catalogue for “The Etruscans: From the Heart of Ancient Italy” currently on display at The Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco.
Here’s a Wall Street Journal review of the exhibition.
For those interested in museum exhibition pedagogy, here are press images of the exhibition.
Also, here’s a sneak peak at the cover for Bell’s upcoming new book, “Roman Copies, Collecting and Culture in the Bay of Naples and Beyond” which he edited with Brad Hostetler. This marks Bell’s 19th published book overall as an editor.
