Brooke StonebrakerBrooke Stonebraker, a junior design and media arts major in the NIU School of Art and Design has been named to the All-Mid American Conference Academic team in women’s basketball.

Stonebraker came to NIU from Versailles High School in Versailles, Ohio. She’s a 6’3 forward who played in 19 games for the Huskies this past season.

She has a 3.77 grade point average at NIU.  She set her career high with 10 points in NIU’s loss to North Dakota in the postseason Women’s Basketball Invitational, March 18.

Stonebraker is one of nine NIU players on the All-MAC Academic team. The Huskies tied Western Michigan for the most in the conference. To qualify for the Academic All-MAC team a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and play in more than half of their team’s games.
