NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

Ike Holter, an award-winning playwright based in Chicago will give a guest lecture to students in the NIU School of Theatre and Dance, Friday, January 29 from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. as part of the school’s Black Artist Speaker Series.

Holter is a winner of the Windham-Campbell prize, one of the highest awards for writing. He is the writer of several award-winning plays including Exit Strategy, Hit The Wall, and Lottery Day. Holter was a writer for the Emmy nominated Fosse/Verdon on FX which won the Writer’s Guild of America award for Best Long Form Adaptation.

His commissions include South Coast Rep and Playwrights Horizons.
