NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

As NIU and the world around us deals with a global pandemic, artists continue to find ways to express themselves. In the College of Visual and Performing arts the learning and teaching hasn’t stopped, it’s simply evolved to meet the needs and limitations of the situation. Over the coming days, we’ll be featuring how NIU students, alumni and faculty in the arts are continuing to do what they love. View the entire collection of NIU Artists. Never. Quit. submissions

Mary Lynn Doherty, associate professor of music, and coordinator of music education, NIU School of Music
Throughout the month of April, I curated a series of meetings with our faculty, current students, alumni and cooperating teachers of our program to share resources, insights and experiences with remote and e-learning. Dozens of people stepped up to share in Zoom meetings and in this google slides presentation.

It was a great way to maintain connection and to see the wonderful work of our alumni and partners in the field!
