NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

This Fall, the NIU dancers are reprising “Weird Scenes Inside the Goldmine,” the original dance created by professor Judy Chitwood based on the music and life of rock legend Jim Morrison and the Doors.

The School of Theatre and Dance welcomes dance teacher Joel Hall, jazz master from Chicago. Joel’s dancers are known for their joyous blend of jazz, ballet, modern and street dance techniques.

In addition, this dance concert will also be a celebration of the many facets of dance expression including modern, classical, and contemporary ballet and jazz.  The dance concert will be performed in the O’Connell Theatre in the Stevens Building on the NIU Main Campus.
