NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

As part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of NIU’s Jack Arends Hall, home to the School of Art and Design, the Backspace Gallery presents “All Sheets to the Wind – Works on Paper” an exhibition featuring work from NIU alumni, faculty, retirees and visiting artists.  

There is an open to the public reception, Thursday, September 20 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Jack Arends Hall to coincide with the opening of five anniversary-related exhibitions including:

“All Sheets tot he Wind” features works by School of Art and Design faculty retirees Dorothea Bilder, David Driesbach, Ben Mahmoud and Gordon Dorn, School of Art and Design alumni Ryan Travis Christian (class of ’07), Geoffrey Todd Smith (’97), Kelsea Nichols (’17), Brandon Oswalt (’17) and Noah Wandrey (’16), and visiting artists Richard Hunt and Mathew Hopson Walker.
