Eight graduate students from the NIU College of Visual and Performing Arts have been honored as part of the university’s 2019 Outstanding Graduate Student awards.
Sarah Sabo of the School of Art and Design was named both an Outstanding Graduate Student and one of NIU’s Outstanding Women Students. Danielle Sheppard and Menug-Jung Yang of Art and Design and Emily Vitrano of the School of Theatre and Dance were also named Outstanding Graduate Students.
Emily Rangel-Cascio of Art and Design was also named to the Outstanding Women Students list.
Mathew Anderson of the School of Music and Zeinab Saab of Art and Design both received a University Fellowship.
Sasha Blitzer of Art and Design received the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award.
