BFA Acting Audition Information
ON-CAMPUS ACTING AUDITIONS
- January 24, 2025 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- February 28, 2025 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- March 28, 2025 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- April 18, 2025 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

- New York City, Pearl Studios – Saturday, January 25
- Chicago, Palmer House Hilton – Monday, February 3 and Tuesday, February 4
- Los Angeles, Westin LAX, Saturday, February 8

* – $20 fee for a National Unified Audition is payable by cash or check on the day of the audition
WHAT YOU SHOULD PREPARE
- Please allow 20 minutes of time for this audition and interview.
- Please prepare one monologue, choose a piece you feel comfortable in and that represents you and your personality best. This monologue should not exceed two minutes total. Your monologue should be fully memorized.
- Please also provide us with an 8×10 photo of yourself on the day of your audition. If you have a Theatrical Resume, we’d love to have one of those, too.

BA in Theatre Studies
The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies program does not require an audition or portfolio review for admission. The program does offer scholarships for talented students.

NIU recruits on campus and at URTA unified auditions. Audition dates, times and information will be announced. NIU also hosts two on campus callback weekends. Callback auditions are by invitation only. Further information on callback weekends will be available at a later date.
