The NIU School of Theatre and Dance is once again participating in the Ukrainian Reading Project, with a reading of Green Channels, Sunday, February 23 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the O’Connell Theatre in the NIU Stevens Building (200 University Circle, DeKalb.)
There is no admission fee but donations are being accepted to benefit Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund via globalgiving.org. The event will be livestreamed.
Green Channels was written by Ukranian playwright, screenwriter and director Natal’ya Vorozhbit. Green Channels is a play that tells the stories of Ukranians forced into exile by the Russian invasion in 2022. The play’s Ukranian premiere was May, 2023 at Kyiv’s Theater of Playwrights.
