When the #23 NIU Huskie football team returns to action for their first game since their upset win over then fifth-ranked Notre Dame, students from the College of Visual and Performing Arts will be their special guests. CVPA students are invited to a free tailgate from noon to 2 p.m. in the Huskie Athletic Fund tent in The Yard just north of Huskie Stadium. The Huskies take on MAC rival Buffalo at 2:30 p.m.
The tailgating and game activities are part of Artists for Athletes, an ongoing initiative where activities are coordinated for athletes to attend arts events and artists to attend athletic events on campus.
Student tickets for the game are free and can be reserved at niuhuskies.com.
