NIU Vice President/Director of Athletics and Recreation Sean Frazier has invited all of the students in the College of Visual and Performing Arts to be special guests at the NIU home football game, September 23 versus Tulsa.
Tailgating starts at 9 a.m. in The Yard to the west of Huskie Stadium and goes until the 11 a.m. game kickoff. Look for the Huskie Athletic Fund tent.
There is no admission cost to the tailgate or to the game. NIU students can reserve free tickets at niuhuskies.com.
CVPA students are also invited to The Fifth Quarter reception after the game at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center.
Paul Kassel, Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts has announced a challenge. The CVPA school that has the greatest representation at the tailgating and game will win a pizza party for that entire school the Friday before Thanksgiving break. Students should wear their school bracelet or otherwise identify their major/school when they go to the game.
Come out, have fun and root on the Huskies. In return, NIU athletes have been invited to be special guests to attend a performance later this semester in CVPA.
