NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

The celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of famed American composer Leonard Bernstein a number of NIU School of Music groups will be incorporating his work into some of their fall concerts.

Leonard BernsteinThe NIU Concert Choir and University Chorus will perform Chicester Psalms and selections from musicals during their concert Tuesday, October 16 at 8 p.m. in Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the NIU Music Building on the main campus.

Cor Cantiamo will perform The Lark as part of their concert Sunday, October 21 at 3 p.m. in Boutell Memorial Concert Hall.

The NIU Wind Symphony will perform Overture to Candide! and Slava! in concert, Wednesday, October 24 at 8 p.m. in Boutell Memorial Concert Hall.

The NIU Philharmonic will perform Fanfare for the inauguration of John F. Kennedy as part of their concert Wednesday, November 14 at 8 p.m. in Boutell Memorial Concert Hall.
