Sharif Bey, associate professor of art at Syracuse University will present an online visiting artist lecture, Monday, April 4 at 5 p.m. titled “Life, Art and Social Responsibility.” Bey is a teaching artist in ceramics, sculpture, art community programming and art education.
He has published articles in numerous research journals in art education. Bey was senior editor of the Journal of Social Theory in Art Education. Most recently, his artwork was on view in the exhibition “Excavations” at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh.
