Join NIU School of Music Director of Orchestra and Opera Danko Drusko and ten conductors from around the United States and other countries as they work with the members of the NIU Philharmonic in a two day Orchestra Conducting Workshop, December 3-5.
There are two sessions of the workshop, held December 3 and 5 from 1:00 to 2:50 p.m. in the NIU School of Music’s Boutell Memorial Concert Hall, that are free, and open to the public, for anyone who wants to see the conductors work with the Philharmonic and hear them perform works from the 2018 fall repertoire. Those pieces include Beethoven Symphony No. 1, Schubert Symphony No. 5, Tchaikovsky Capriccio Italien & Haydn Armida Overture.
