Recording Arts

The Recording Arts program has dedicated space on the second floor of the Music Building with a pair of rooms filled with state of the art recording equipment, as well as fixed position in Boutell Memorial Concert Hall to record and live stream School of Music concerts. Faculty, students and alumni of the program have received Grammy nominations in recent years.

Students studying Recording Arts can be part of the Recording Crew and help with recording, live webcast, editing and set up of concerts and rectials.

The new Bachelor of Arts degree in the School of Music provides student the opportunity to select electives and focus on recording arts and media technologies.

Students will study with a Grammy Award™ winning instructor. There are “wet” and “dry” recording rooms on the Music Building’s second floor that are connected directly to the video and audio technology in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall and Recital Hall.
